What is Shatavari?

Asparagus racemosus Willd., commonly known as Shatavari, is a medicinal botanical traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine and increasingly investigated through modern clinical research.

Its roots contain a diverse phytochemical composition, including steroidal saponins (Shatavarins), flavonoids, polyphenols, and other naturally occurring constituents that contribute to its biological activity.

This complexity is why preserving the botanical’s native phytochemical composition has become an important consideration in ingredient development.

Emerging evidence suggests that Shatavari supports multiple physiological systems relevant to women’s health, including neuroendocrine, endocrine, and stress-response pathways.
